Business phones, video and chat on one system
We set businesses up on RingCentral, move your numbers over, and support it afterward. Your team gets desk phones, mobile apps, video meetings and chat under one login. When another platform fits better, we quote that instead.
What "unified communications" means
It's one system for the ways your team talks: phone calls, video meetings, chat and texting. Everyone has one number that rings on their desk phone, computer and cell phone, and calls, meetings and messages all live in one app.
It runs in the cloud, so there's no phone system in a closet to maintain, and it works the same at the office, at home or on the road.
For most businesses it replaces a phone bill, a separate video meeting service and a mix of texting apps.

Video

Phone system or unified communications?
It is the same system. A business phone system is the calling part: your numbers, the phone menu, desk phones and call queues. Unified communications adds the rest, video meetings, team chat, texting and fax, in the same app with the same login.
For most businesses the extra parts come with the plan, so the question is whether you will use them. If your team already lives in another meeting or chat tool, we can set up calling to work alongside it.
Rolling it out to your team
- Everyone gets their login and the app on their computer and cell phone before switch day.
- A short walkthrough covers transfers, voicemail, meetings and chat. Most people are comfortable in a day.
- Desk phones arrive configured, so there is nothing to set up at each desk.
- Business texting needs a carrier registration first, which takes a few weeks, so we start it early.
- After launch, adding a person or changing the phone menu is a call or email to us.
How we help
- Plan it around your business. We look at how your team uses the phones today, what you pay and what you need. RingCentral fits most businesses; if another platform fits yours better, we tell you and quote it.
- Set it up and move your numbers. We configure the system, port your numbers from your current carrier, set up phones and apps, and show your team how it works.
- Support it afterward. Adding a user, changing a menu, a call that won't go through: you call us and we take care of it.

Common questions
Can we keep our phone numbers?
In almost every case, yes. We move (port) your numbers from your current carrier to the new system and schedule the switch so calls keep coming in. A port usually takes one to a few weeks, depending on the carrier.
Which phone systems do you work with?
RingCentral for most businesses. We are a RingCentral partner, and it covers calling, meetings, chat, texting and fax in one app. If another platform fits your business better, we tell you and quote it instead.
Do we need new desk phones?
Not always. Some desk phones you already own can be set up on the new system, and many people use only the app on their computer and cell phone. If you need new phones, we include them in the quote.
What happens to calls if our internet goes down?
Calls can forward to cell phones automatically, and the mobile app keeps working on cellular data. If you want desk phones to keep working too, cellular backup internet keeps the office connected.
How much internet do we need for phone calls?
Less than most people expect. A call uses about 100 kilobits per second each way, so most business connections can carry dozens of calls at once. A steady connection matters more than raw speed, and we check yours before moving the phones over.
Can we text customers from our business number?
On most platforms, yes. Carriers now require businesses to register before texting from a regular local number (10DLC registration), or messages may not be delivered. We help with the registration.
What about our fax, alarm or elevator lines?
Fax can usually move to the new system as online fax. Alarm panels, elevator phones and similar lines need a different kind of replacement. See our POTS line replacement page or ask us to look at them with the phones.
