Business Internet and
Backup Connectivity
Fiber, cable, dedicated fiber, fixed wireless and cellular. We find the providers that actually serve your address, compare their prices and contract terms, and coordinate the order and installation with most major carriers, for your main connection and for backup.
See what's available at your address
Enter your business address to see the providers that serve it: fiber, cable, DSL, fixed wireless and 5G. Then we price the options and handle the order.
How it works
For fiber, cable, dedicated and fixed wireless service, we work with the providers that serve your building and handle them for you. Business Cellular Internet, for a main connection or a backup, is our own service.
- Check your address. You tell us where you are, how many people use the connection, and what runs on it. We check which providers can actually install there.
- Speed you need
- Providers at your address
- What you pay today and when it renews
- Compare. You get the options side by side with prices, speeds, install times and contract terms, and we tell you which one we would pick and why.
- Fiber, cable, fixed wireless and 5G
- Contract length and install fees spelled out
- We handle the back-and-forth on pricing
- Install and after. We place the order, keep track of the install date, and make sure your phones and network work on the new line. After that, outages and billing problems come to us.
- Install scheduling
- We open and chase carrier tickets
- A fresh comparison when the contract is up
Ways to connect
We quote and coordinate installation with most major carriers, so you see the options at your address side by side and we handle the order.
Fiber
The fastest wired option where it reaches your building, often with the same upload and download speed. Install times vary by carrier.
Cable
Widely available and good value for most offices. Download speeds are higher than upload.
Dedicated Internet (DIA)
A fiber circuit just for your business, with guaranteed symmetrical speeds and a service level agreement. For larger offices, heavy cloud and phone use, and multi-site networks.
Fixed Wireless
A radio link from a nearby tower, for buildings where wired service is limited or slow to install.
Cellular (5G/LTE)
Our own service on Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile, with published plans and prices. Good where wired service is not there yet or a site has to be online quickly.

Runs several connections, or several locations, as one network and sends traffic over whichever link is working best.
How they compare
A rough guide. What a provider offers at your address can differ, which is why we check it first.
| Type | Upload vs download | Typical install | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fiber | Often the same both ways | Days to weeks if the building is wired, months if not | Most offices where it reaches the building |
| Cable | Upload much lower than download | Days to a few weeks | Small offices and stores, good value |
| Dedicated internet | The same both ways, guaranteed | Often 30 to 90 days or more | Larger offices, heavy phone and cloud use, repair-time guarantees |
| Fixed wireless | Varies by provider | Often a few weeks | Buildings with limited wired options |
| Cellular (5G/LTE) | Depends on the signal | Days | Backup, temporary sites, sites waiting on a wired install |
How much speed do you need?
- Phone calls use very little, about 100 kbps each way per call.
- Card terminals and most point of sale systems use even less.
- Video meetings use a few Mbps each, in both directions.
- Cloud backups, camera systems you view remotely and large file uploads are what push upload speed up.
Upload speed is where cable often falls short. If people send large files or join many video calls, ask about upload first.
Do you need a static IP?
A static IP is an address that never changes. You need one if you host a VPN for remote staff, view cameras from outside, or use software that only accepts connections from a known address. Most providers offer one for a monthly fee; we include it in the comparison when you need it.
Multiple locations? We can manage the network that connects them.

On legacy CenturyLink or Qwest service?
Lumen is phasing out older business Internet, T1/private line, and voice products. Existing service continues for now, but it's a good time to review your options.
Why not just call a provider?
You can. A provider's sales rep will quote you their own service. We compare the providers at your address, so you see the options side by side before you sign anything.
The bigger difference comes later. When the connection drops, you call us and we open the ticket with the provider and keep after it. Because we often run your phones and IT as well, we can tell quickly whether the problem is the line, your equipment or something else. And when the contract is coming up for renewal, we check prices again before it renews.
Backup internet
A second connection keeps phones, card terminals and cloud apps working when the main line goes down. There are two ways to add one, and we quote both.
A second wired line
Cable, fiber or fixed wireless from a different provider than your main line. It gives you full speed during an outage, but it only helps if it reaches your building by a different route, and installation can take weeks.
Cellular
Our own Business Cellular Internet on Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile. It doesn't share the street with your wired line, can be running within days, and your router switches to it on its own when the main line drops.

VoIP Phone Systems
Internet phones stop when the internet stops. Backup keeps calls coming in.
Card Terminals
Stores and restaurants keep taking cards during an outage.
Alarms and Cameras
Monitoring and door access that report over the internet stay connected.
Sites With Few Options
Where only one wired provider serves the building, cellular is the second path.
Business Cellular Internet
Our own 5G and LTE service on Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile, with published plans and prices. Use it as your main connection or as a backup that takes over on its own.

Are you an internet provider?
No. We work with more than 70 providers, including fiber, cable, fixed wireless and 5G, and find out which of them can actually install at your address. Your service comes from the provider you pick. We handle the comparison, the order, the install date and support afterward.
What do you need from me for a quote?
The service address, roughly how many people use the connection, what runs on it (phones, card terminals, cameras, cloud software), and a recent bill if you have one. The bill tells us what you pay now and when your contract ends.
How long does a new install take?
It depends on the provider and on whether the building is already wired for them. Service that is already in the building can be installed in days to a few weeks. Fiber that needs new construction can take a few months. We give you the provider's estimate with the quote.
What is the difference between broadband and dedicated internet?
Broadband, which includes cable and most fiber plans, is shared with other customers in the area and usually has faster download than upload. Dedicated internet access is a connection reserved for you, with the same speed up and down and a service level agreement on repair times. It costs more, and most small offices do not need it.
Do I need backup internet?
If your phones, card terminals or the software you work in stop when the internet goes down, a backup connection is worth pricing. It can be a second wired line from a different provider, or our own cellular backup, which your router switches to on its own.
I am already in a contract. Can you still help?
Yes. We look at when your contract ends and what leaving early would cost, then plan the change around that. Often the right move is to line up the new service so it starts when the old contract ends.
