AT&T copper phone line retirement

AT&T has asked the FCC for permission to stop offering copper phone service in 20 filings that cover 3,629 of its telephone exchanges in 21 states. The next date is October 16, 2026.

A filing usually covers part of an area, not every address, and AT&T has to notify customers before it changes their service.
