AT&T: FCC docket 26-106

AT&T has asked the FCC for permission to stop offering business copper phone services (business lines, PBX trunks, ISDN and similar) in portions of the following AT&T wire centers: Johnson Corner, GA (JHCRGAES), and Tifton, GA (TFTNGAMA); Carrollton, KY (CRTNKYMA); Angie, LA (ANGILAMA), Dulac, LA (DULCLAMA), Gibson, LA (GBSNLAMA), Lafitte, LA (LFTTLAMA), Lake Providence, LA (LKPRLAMA), Loreauville, LA (LRVLLAMA), Morganza, LA (MRGZLAMA), Napoleonville, LA (NPVLLAMA), Oil City, LA (OLCYLAMA), St. Martinville, LA (SMVLLAMA), and, as of June 30, 2026.

Nothing stopped this request, so under FCC rules it was approved automatically on June 19, 2026. The phone company still has to notify customers before it changes their service. FCC notice

We matched it to 18 telephone exchanges in 6 states. A filing that covers "portions" of a state doesn't list addresses, so a line in one of these towns may or may not be included.
