AT&T: FCC docket 26-200

AT&T has asked the FCC for permission to stop offering business copper phone services (business lines, PBX trunks, ISDN and similar) in portions of certain wire centers located in AT&T’s ILEC footprint in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Tennessee, on or after November 15, 2026.

Nothing stopped this request, so under FCC rules it was approved automatically on September 14, 2026. The phone company still has to notify customers before it changes their service. FCC notice

We matched it to 672 telephone exchanges in 5 states. A filing that covers "portions" of a state doesn't list addresses, so a line in one of these towns may or may not be included.
